Join us for these upcoming events. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner, advanced, new, or a regular. We'd love to see you!
Christmas Bird Count, all day, Dec. 20. Join other bird lovers for our chapter's 39th consecutive CBC! You can join our leaders for any amount of time by car or by foot. Or, stay home and count birds at your feeder for as long as you like. You don't need to be an expert birder! Find out how you can join the fun and excitement HERE.
Winter Sowing Classes, Jan. 10, Main Street Center, 516 Main Street, Clarion.
What a great way to spend a cold January morning by planting seeds indoors! Plant seeds for 5 varieties of native perennial flowers in jugs and take them home to grow.
Instruction, supplies, seeds, handouts are all provided. Class size is limited.

Nature Programs

Our monthly nature programs are always interesting.
We meet at the Clarion Free Library, 644 Main St., Clarion, on the second Wednesday of the month. Programs start at 6:30 pm.
Come early to get a seat and hang out!

October 8 - Beginners Guide to Mushroom Foraging with Esperanzo (Espo) Wilcox of the PA Mushroom Company. This program will be held at Penn West - Clarion, Auditorium 122C, Science and Technology Center

Our chapter is working to restore and preserve precious bird habitat and to educate the public about ways they can help.
Please join us in our efforts. We each can help.
Bird-Friendly Habitat - Our team actively promotes native plants for private and public spaces in our area. Our next event is our Winter Sowing Class for the public on January 10. Join the fun and grow native flowers inexpensively. More information under Winter Events section.
Piney Tract (SGL 330) - A former strip mine, it is now an Important Birding Area and a breeding home to many grassland birds.
